I'm planning on taking my PF3s to France in a months time to see how they go. Used them a couple of times over the winter and my initial observation would be that there doesn't seem to be much difference in thrust over the PF2, but they do track better in the wave.

Just got myself some of the new Pod 3's - they are really comfy and from the little I've used them perform much like my makka's but feel so much more comfortable. Got to be a good choice if anyone is considering a pair of fins, they get my vote

Having just used the PF3s for 2 weeks in France I was pretty pleased with them. Thrust wise, in hindsight, I would say that they are better than the PF2s. The fin overall is stiffer and on a couple of big closeout days when it was duckdive city I found I was definately making easier progress. They definately track better in the wave than PF2s as well.

On the downside, I think they're not quite as comfortable as PF1s or PF2s as the hard rubber starts further up the foot pocket, and I made the mistake of wearing a fin slipper with a seam down the middle with them. This meant that on the first session I managed to give myself killer blisters on the topside of each middle toe (right through to the dermis) which meant I had plastered up toes for 2 weeks.

So make sure you wear Dakine or other side seam slippers not Morey top-seamers if you use them!
